In July 2021, a back-and-forth series between the 19-year-old singer and dancer JoJo Siwa and the Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure broke out on the internet. It started when Siwa posted a comment on a now-viral TikTok about how she felt about Bure.

Fast-Forward to a year later and nothing has changed as the duo is still going at it due to value differences. Here's a timeline of their feud.

The First Clash

Siwa posted a video on TikTok calling her the rudest person ever based on an interaction with the Aurora Teargarden star about eight years ago. Bure claimed she "immediately tried to reach out" to understand this accusation since the teen did not share the full details in the video.

"She actually didn't want to tell me because she said it's so silly, she felt bad and that's why it just wasn't a big deal to her," claimed Bure.

Siwa explained the event's details to Bure, saying the One Tree Hill star rejected her request to take a picture on a red carpet under the pretext of being busy but indulged others.

Bure had to reach out to the Dance Moms star's mother saying,

"I kind of broke your 11-year-old heart, I didn't take a picture with you! I feel crummy. JoJo, I'm so sorry!"

JoJo accepted this apology telling Bure that she understands, especially now that she's older and understands how busy it can get on the red carpet for these celebrities.

Days later, Siwa suggested she didn't feel Bure was completely genuine with her apology while speaking with The New York Post's Page Six.

No Gays In Bure's Movies

Tensions rose again this month following an article in the Wall Street Journal where Bure denounced the LGBTQIA+ community. While speaking on her projects with Great American Family Channel, Bure said the network "will keep traditional marriage at the core."

Siwa shared a screenshot of it and called the 46-year-old out for discrimination saying,

"Honestly, I can't believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people."

Siwa’s comment was applauded by Bure’s former costar Jodie Sweetin, Bure's former co-star applauded Siwa's post with an affirmation saying,

"you know I love you”

Hilarie Burton (One Tree Hill) also rebuked Bure and Bill Abbott, chief executive of Great American Media, for “bigotry.”

Bure's response was that this is was all a misunderstanding. She's appalled that people who know her intimately think she's a bigot and released a statement denying the accusation.

“All of you who know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.”
