She was showing off the items in her Lady Dior purse, which has special ties to the late royal she portrays.

She explained that the Lady Dior bag was named after Diana by the French fashion house after she was shown carrying it time and time again.

It became a very important part of the royal's signature style.

She had a bag within the bag. This contained some of her favorite beauty items, such as a soft pink lipstick, which she said she dabs on her lips.

Since she's a fan of multi-purposing, she also uses lipstick as a blush.

Next up was a gua sha.

This is an Ancient Chinese beauty tool that sculpts facial muscles. "This is the queen of all," Elizabeth said. "It's a nice placebo to make you feel like you can go on camera every day of your life."

Good hygiene is another part of looking good at 32. For this, the actress always carries around a thing of toothpaste with her.

"As an actor, you just brush your teeth like 1200 times a day," she explained.

For this, there were several hair and beauty must-haves, such as Diana's signature short hair that she debuted on the cover of British Vogue in 1990.

In order to get the look, The Crown's hair and makeup designer Cate Hall told Grazia Daily that they had to die Elizabeth's wig several times.

"That haircut is pretty difficult to pull off in a wig," she explained. "It involved a lot of very precise dying on top of the wig we had already commissioned."

The head-to-toe transformation also meant that Elizabeth's skin color had to match Diana's at the time. For this, Elizabeth's naturally fair skin had to undergo a "constant spray tan schedule" to give the appearance of Diana's bronzed glow.

She Also Had To Change How She Did Her Makeup in Order To Portray a More Mature and Sophisticated Diana

Hall told Harper's Bazaar that she "concentrated and layered various eyeliners towards the center of Elizabeth's eyes to emphasize Diana's doe-eyed shape."

Lots of MAC products were used to recreate classic '90s looks, such as nude lipsticks and shimmery eyeshadows.

For all of this, Elizabeth trusted the team. "She was fantastic at being open to trying everything. She placed her trust in us from the off," Hall said.

This paid off, as Elizabeth looked the part! Plus, she can take those beauty tips and use them always to look frozen in time!
