When having children, many moms decide to breastfeed their children. Breastfeeding is an intimate and special experience for many moms to have with their children. They feel as though breastfeeding allows the baby to get nutrients and help directly from their bodies. However, breastfeeding can be complicated and strenuous for a lot of mothers who choose to do it and can be a lot to handle.

Breastfeeding can be beautiful.

Many moms love to breastfeed because they feel a connection to their babies. There is something very intimate about feeding your child from milk that your own body makes, and having those feeding moments together just the two of you.

However, breastfeeding can also limit moms.

Breastfeeding can also limit moms and their freedoms during the early stages of motherhood. Moms who breastfeed cannot always drink or do other things because they are needing to keep their milk pure and clean for their child.

In addition, moms who breastfeed make milk that needs to be relieved.

When breastfeeding, you make milk and need to empty the load and relieve yourself, even if your child isn't hungry or around at that moment in time. It can put a lot of stress on your body.

Recently, one TikTok user opened up a conversation about breastfeeding that left some people a bit weirded out.

The two friends are both sitting on the bed as the mom looks happily and lovingly at her friend feeding her baby for her. The video showcases a close and beautiful friendship. However, not everyone felt that way.

Some people online felt it was weird for the mom to have her friend feeding her child.

A lot of people in the comments said that they would absolutely not allow another woman to feed their child like this. Some shared it's the intimacy of breastfeeding that is the dealbreaker for them, that they don't want another connecting with their child in such a way.

However, some thought it was beautiful.

Some commenters thought that it was so beautiful that Grace had a friend who would do this for her. Others pointed out that for centuries, people have used wet nurses and donor milk to help keep their babies nourished and fed.

Many also said you can feed if you drink a little bit.

Some people pointed out that if you had a drink or two, it's okay to feed your child. Many said if you are sober enough to drive, you are sober enough to feed.

In a follow-up video, Grace explained why she allowed her friend to feed her child.

Grace shared that her friend is 7 months pregnant, but her baby is currently away for the weekend. She graciously offered to feed her son when she was drinking and using her breastmilk helped strengthen her son's immune system.

She shared it is okay to nurse and drink, however, she chose not to.

While Grace knows it's okay to nurse and drink at the same time, she decided to let her friend do it for her because she wanted to, and also it was to relieve her of the breastmilk she was producing, but not using, while her own child was away.

People said that both Grace and her friend were doing the right thing.

Commenters said that having her friend feed her son was smart for her friend, because it also allowed her to keep up her supply and continue to produce for her own 7-month-old child.

Others shared their own stories of nursing and having others help when needed.

"When we would run out of my nephew's formula I would nurse him until my sister would pick him up. he was 13 days younger than my son," shared another user.

Some said they would definitely step up for a friend when needed.

"This is awesome 👏 I would do this in a heartbeat honestly. Don’t understand all the negativity surrounding it. It’s the most natural thing," shared a woman on the TikTok video.

And, others said the friendship that they have is truly something special.
