Kids do a lot more than make parents lose sleep. They also make them sleep with one eye open!
This is the result of some of the very strange things they've said, which include everything from having imaginary friends to predicting when someone is going to die to talking about a past life.
Here are just some of these very strange things kids have said to adults.
One woman's daughter claimed that God himself saved her from choking. The three-year-old said that God told her to tell her mother.
"Absolute chills. Neither I or her father have brought god up to her before. It was crazy," the mother wrote.
"'I found a dead body at the playground. I don't know what to do now. Can you help me?' The dead body was the body of a baby deer that had probably been hunted down by a fox and almost completely eaten as well. That's what it's like living next to a forest." - u/sachette-dreseag
After a woman's dad passed, she took time away from her job as a daycare worker. When she returned, a little boy pointed at her necklace, said “your dad” and smiled and gave her a big hug.
Somehow, he was referencing the silver coin necklace that her dad wore into the hospital a few months prior.
"My cousin was thrown out of a preschool for taking off his shoe and telling a nun: 'Shut up or I'll take out your eye with my shoe 'cause I'm the son of the devil.' Apparently that was the last straw." - u/pelayobesa
It's always a little creepy when a child has an imaginary friend. That was the case with one Redditor's daughter who came running out of a family member's room holding a picture frame.
She showed the family that the man in the picture, a deceased uncle she never met, was her imaginary friend.
"I was camping in a remote forest with my remarkably articulate 1.5 yr old, no other campers as it was mid-week before a holiday and raining. I asked what she could hear, it’s around 9pm, expecting her to say rain, frogs, bugs etc. her reply? 'People' I was spooked." - u/PotatoBootsGiraffe
One little girl had quite the appetite. When she was in the womb with her twin, she absorbed the twin.
So when a nanny asked the little girl if she had any siblings, she replied, "I had but I ate it. The soul still lives inside of me."

You'd expect a cat-call from an old man or a construction worker. Not an eight-year-old! But that's what this little kid did when a female Redditor in her 20s walked by him and his friend. She didn't know how to respond.
"I was tucking in my two year old. He said 'Good bye dad.' I said, 'No, we say good night.' He said 'I know. But this time its good bye.' Had to check on him a few times to make sure he was still there." - u/UnfortunateBirthMark
When a Redditor was changing their daughter in front of an open closet door, she kept looking around and laughing.
When they asked her what was so funny, she pointed to the closet and said "the man with the snake neck." Now, the Redditor's scared to check the house history to see if anyone hung themselves in the closet.
"My 3 year old daughter stood next to her new born brother and looked at him for awhile then turned and looked at me and said, 'Daddy its a monster..we should bury it.'" - uLike_I_was_sayin. Clearly, someone didn't want a sibling.
Kids can be incredibly blunt — and morbid. One child was cuddling with their grandmother, when he took her face in his hands, brought it close to his, and told her that she will die soon. He even made a point of looking at the clock.
"My son (about 6) asked my mother to lay down on her stomach, then he sat on her butt and started bouncing up and down and proclaimed, "Now we're mating like reptiles!" Thanks Discovery Channel!" - u/hasnfefr
One Redditor was worried when their child was crying. When they asked what was wrong, the child replied, "Bad man" and pointed at a dark corner of the room. At that very moment, a lamp on the bookshelf next to said darkened corner fell off.
"My noticeably pregnant sister and I were having a conversation at the dining room table. My 4 year old son was also present and asked my sister if there was a baby in her belly. She affirmed. He, completely straight faced, slid from his chair and headed for the kitchen saying 'We need to get it out. I'll go get the knife.' I don't even know..." - u/deleted
A Redditor was sound asleep when they were woken up in the middle of the night by their four-year-old.
She looked right into their eyes and whispered, "I want to peel all your skin off." Here's the backstory: they had been sunburned the previous week and the skin was starting to peel.
"A few months ago, I was staying at my sister’s house. The first night I was there, I woke up in the middle of the night because I felt like I couldn’t breathe. It was like something was blocking my mouth. Once I was finally fully awake, it subsided and I was able to fall back asleep. The next morning, I went into the dining room for breakfast and my 7-year-old nephew says, 'Hey Auntie, who was the little boy who went into your room last night with no eyes?'" —emmydunn2
