Alec Baldwin, 64, is defending his family after wife Hilaria, 38, announced her 7th pregnancy.
It seems like these days, the hottest trend for celebrity dads to follow is to have a lot of kids — and we do mean a LOT of kids! Whether it's Nick Cannon playing coy on bringing his family up to ten children or Elon Musk revealing he'd secretly fathered a set of twins bringing his total up to 8, celebrity dads seem intent on growing their families, and Alec Baldwin is no different.
Alec and Hilaria share six children together: Carmen, 8, Rafael, 7, Leonardo, 5, Romeo, 4, and twins Eduardo and Lucia, 1. Alec also has daughter Ireland, 26, from his first marriage to model Kim Basinger.
Alec himself is one of four brothers, who are all actors themselves, so he's pretty used to a big family!
"Unsurprisingly, Alec and I are making a very Baldwinito looking baby…yet again 🤣💕. There she is!" she captioned one post on the subject.
While most of the comments were people congratulating the couple, there was more than a handful of people questioning why they had such a big family.
"Alec Baldwin (actor) is preparing to have his SEVENTH child!!! And Elon Musk has SIX. WTF is going on here?" asked one fan.
“People comment about how many children we have and ask why,” Alec wrote alongside a video of his young children dressed in animal onesies and his wife. “This is why. The thing in this life that matters most to me are these people.”
Fans took to the comments to share their own opinions.
Not everyone was on board, with one fan commenting, "Very nice. But we MUST think past our own life. Think globally and what over population means to the planet."
