When was the last time you truly felt a special connection with the world? For many of us, it's all too easy to get lost in staring at screens, slowly losing our connection to Mother Nature.

Does this sound like you? If so, some recent videos posted by actor Drew Barrymore might just be enough to convince you to get out there and feel nature again, because she looks positively ecstatic.

We hadn't heard much from Drew Barrymore lately.

In a March 2021 interview, Barrymore announced that she would be taking an "indefinite hiatus" from acting. The news was shocking for her fans, but it was a well-deserved break for Barrymore, who's been acting since she was just 11 months old.

A couple of recent videos have gone viral.

Fortunately for her fans, Barrymore still maintains an active social media presence. In a video posted back in May, she told her followers that if it's a rainy day, they really ought to just run outside and experience the downpour.

She's back in the rain game.

In a more recent video, Barrymore records herself as she runs outside to experience the rain. She's positively glowing, lost in the reverie of the rainstorm.

"Whenever you can, go out in the rain!" she exclaimed. "Do not miss the opportunity!"

The videos struck a chord.

Given Barrymore's tumultuous personal life, almost all of which has been spent in the Hollywood limelight, it's truly gratifying to see her simply doing what she loves and living in the moment. Many fans celebrated her rain-soaked videos.

It represents life goals to many people.

Yes, it would be nice to have Drew Barrymore's net worth. But while that would be hard to get, what's easy to get is her outlook on life, one that seems to prioritize living in the moment.

Not everybody was on board with her rainy reverie.

It seems like a video of a person genuinely enjoying the weather would be decidedly uncontroversial, but more than a few commenters have criticized Barrymore for her, uh, public persona or something.

Most people loved the videos, though.

Ultimately, it isn't about the rain. It isn't really about Drew Barrymore, even. It's just a reminder that it's possible to find joy in otherwise mundane moments. Sometimes it's important just to let go and allow yourself to experience something.

It's great to know that she's doing well.

Of course, none of us have personal insights into Drew Barrymore's personal life. We only see snippets that are curated and posted to social media. But judging by those snippets, she's living her best life.

She's one of the biggest stars of her generation.

Perhaps the reason the videos struck such a chord is that Barrymore has been on the silver screen for close to forty years, and multiple generations of movie-watchers grew up watching her performances.

Is this what you want?

What do you want out of life? Think carefully. Are you more focused on material goals or experiences? Whatever the case, we can all take a page from Drew Barrymore's book and just take a moment to experience things from time to time.
