Puerto Rican superstar Ricky Martin is facing some legal trouble where he currently resides, as it was made public that a restraining order has been placed against him from an anonymous second party.

The order will prevent him from contacting the other person until a trial is held to see if it shall remain in place or be lifted.

A judge has issued a restraining order against Ricky Martin.

The order was signed on Friday, after which police visited his home in Dorado, Puerto Rico to serve it.

Police spokesman Axel Valencia told The Associated Press that, "Up until now, police haven’t been able to find him."

It is currently unknown who requested the restraining order.

Valencia could also not provide details as the order was filed under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law.

However, a local newspaper called El Vocero claimed that the order says Martin and the other party dated for seven months, having broken up two months ago.

The petitioner says Martin didn't accept their breakup.

They claim they've seen Martin loitering by their home at least three times since their split, clearly feeling uneasy enough to take further action.

“The petitioner fears for his safety,” the newspaper reads.

There will be a later hearing about the order.

This hearing will determine whether it should stay in place or be lifted. Until then, Martin is prohibited from contacting or calling the person who filed it.

Valencia said that orders like this are usually implemented for a month at least.
