Kevin Spacey Charged With Four Counts Of Sexual Assault

Actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexual assault, as reported by the BBC. The 62-year-old has been accused of attacking three men over the course of eight years while running one of the most prolific and historic theaters in London, England. The news of the actor's charges broke Thursday after an investigation was initially launched by the Met Police back in 2017.

It was announced on Thursday that the former "House of Cards" star has been charged with four counts of sexual assault.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the Crown Prosecution Service revealed one man who claimed he was sexually assaulted twice in March 2005 and a second man who claimed that in August 2008 he was sexually assaulted and then forced to engage in sexual acts without consent.

The third complainant alleged that he was sexually assaulted in April 2013 in Gloucestershire. 

Head of the CPS Special Crime Division, Rosemary Ainslie, said today: "The CPS has authorized criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men."

"He has also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. The charges follow a review of the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police in its investigation."

Rosemary continued: "The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr. Spacey are active and that he has the right to a fair trial."

As for what the actor has been doing since the allegations broke in 2017, the Daily Mail reports the actor has been living under the radar in London.
