Being an A-list celebrity in Hollywood requires you to make a lot of sacrifices, none greater than your own personal autonomy and anonymity. Because of this, there's no shortage of photos of any of Hollywood's most revered celebs.

That being said, there are always those rare gems that manage to slip through the cracks, never to see the light of day. To get a better understanding of what I'm talking about, have a look below at these vintage pictures of celebrities that fans probably never saw.

Angela Lansbury looks more like Jessica Rabbit than she does Jessica Fletcher in this photo.

As someone who grew up watching old reruns of Murder She Wrote on A&E, I for one am flabbergasted. Jessica looks positively radiant in that red dress.

If you've ever wondered why they call Arnold "The Austrian Oak," now you know.

Arnold looks like he was carved from a block of marble. Suffice it to say that even the great sculptor Michelangelo couldn't produce a work of art as perfect as this.

Helen Mirren has always been a stone-cold fox.

I think by this point, my feelings toward Dame Helen Mirren are well documented and established. As far as I'm concerned, she was and still is one of the most gorgeous women on the planet.

I grew up in the golden era of Jim Carrey. Keep in mind that this is the man who followed up Ace Ventura: Pet Detective with The Mask and then Dumb and Dumberer. To call him a comedic genius doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.

Cameron Diaz is smmmooooookin'!

Speaking of The Mask — "Somebody stop me!" It goes without saying that Cameron Diaz is stunning, but what's even more unbelievable is the fact that this picture was taken more than 30 years ago and she still looks the exact same.

Looking at this old photo of Marlon Brando fills me with an uncontrollable urge to scream out "STELLA!" at the top of my lungs. And yes, I realize I've dated myself badly with that film reference.

Sophia Loren doesn't even look real. I'd be more apt to believe that she sprung to life from the canvas of one of the great Renaissance painters than to believe that this much beauty could be contained to just one person.

Nothing to see here — just Bob Dylan and Robert De Niro hugging backstage.

What's most incredible is that Robert is wearing almost the identical jacket that Bob wore on the cover of his iconic album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. It's as if he's about to say "Hey, did you steal my jacket?"

Julie Andrews is two spoonfuls of sugar.

I have and will always love Julie Andrews. She has the acting talent to hold her own with the best of them and possessed the voice of an angel. I don't care what anyone says, the best Disney song of all time is "Feed The Birds" from Mary Poppins.

Kirk Douglas sure was easy on the eyes back in the day...

If you grew up in the '90s, then you're already well acquainted with actor Michael Douglas. If you've ever wondered where he got his acting chops from, look no further than father Kirk Douglas.

Halle Berry is so beautiful that she makes a mushroom cut look good.

Fashion is cyclical. Not even five years ago, we'd look at a picture like this where Halle is rocking a pixie cut with large hoop earrings and scoff. Now, it's pretty much in keeping with the current trends.

A very young Leonardo DiCaprio rocking the haircut that would go on to define a generation.

I don't think anyone could make an argument that Leo is underrated but I dare to say that he isn't appreciated nearly as much as he should be.

While there may still be some debate as to who is the best actor to have ever lived, the best living actress to have ever lived is much more clear-cut. It's Meryl Streep, hands down.

You have to admire a man who can rock a unibrow for the entirety of his career and still be revered as one of the most ruggedly handsome and talented actors in Hollywood.

The glamorous and eternal, Betty White.

Betty White looks just like a china doll. Her porcelain skin, ruby-red lips, and dark luscious curls are enough to get anyone's blood pumping. We miss you Betty, and the world is a lot less funny without you.
