Sarah Michelle Gellar Celebrates 45th Birthday With 'Cruel Intentions' Reunion

Celebrity birthdays come and go, but it's not every birthday we get to see a star-studded reunion that celebrates an absolutely iconic movie!

Sarah Michelle Geller's birthday just passed, and she was happy to share her birthday activities with us, a very grateful audience, as she met up with friends and attended an art exhibit inspired by her 1999 film Cruel Intentions.

What better way is there to celebrate a birthday than with friends?

Sarah Michelle Gellar got to do just that on her 45th birthday this past Thursday, April 14, with a mini Cruel Intentions reunion featuring Selma Blair and Ryan Phillipe at the Jeffrey Deitch Gallery in Los Angeles. The group was seen hanging out at an exhibit for artist Sam McKinniss that was inspired by the 1999 film.

She posted selfies in front of the various works on Instagram.

"Art and surprises on my birthday. What a special day," she wrote in the caption, seeming delighted in every photo that featured not only her fellow stars, but large, painted stills from the movie as their backdrop.

Many other friends reached out on social media to wish her a happy birthday.

Kristin Chenoweth, Shannen Hoerty, and Amanda Kloots were all among those who posted for Geller's big day, though a particularly sweet post came from All My Children co-star Lindsay Price.

"SMG, the only thing that is better than meeting you sophomore year in that Manhattan high school, sharing a love of Betsey Johnson, Benihana, and that dressing room as the only teenagers at All My Children…. Even better than all those days rollerblading in Central Park after school with you, is seeing the woman you grew into."

Not to mention all the flowers she got!

Geller's husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., made a post jokingly complaining about the sheer amount of flower deliveries he picked up for her. "Ladies, we've got to talk about y'all needing flowers on your birthday. [...] You know what guys get for their birthday from their friends? A text. [...] No one had to go up and down stairs 2700 times to get flowers that are going to be dead in three days."

Geller commented her simple rebuttal, "But I NEED them."

We hope she had the absolute loveliest of birthdays!
