Nearly two years after the controversial firing of longtime Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron (and his co-host of 10 seasons, Erin Andrews) it is being rumored that current host Tyra Banks has also been cut after two seasons. This news comes just one week after it was announced the beloved dancing competition show would be moved from ABC to Disney+ after 30 seasons on cable TV.

Now, former DWTS host Brooke Burke is weighing in on the report.

On Wednesday "The Sun" reported that supermodel and host Tyra Banks will no longer be the host of "Dancing with the Stars" after a rocky two seasons.

As fans of the show will recall, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were fired back in 2020.

"There is no official decision on who will be hosting next season, but it doesn't look like Tyra will be back," a source told the British tabloid.

"I wouldn't say it's Tyra's fault the show got dropped by the network. I mean, that certainly didn't help, but she came in and did the job she was hired to do," they continued.

"The problem is, she just didn't fit in. She didn't fit in with producers, and she didn't fit with the audience, and it showed," they added.

Now, former DWTS host Brooke Burke is speaking out about the rumored decision, and let's just say, the 50-year-old did not hold back.

While chatting on the "Behind The Velvet Rope" podcast, Brooke told host David Yontef, "You know, she’s a diva. Everybody knows that."

"There’s nothing wrong with that. And I’m not saying anything bad about her. Be a diva."

"[But] it’s not the place to be a diva," she continued.

"Your pros [dancers] are the diva. Your winner. Your perfect 10-score dancer who’s never done it. That defines ‘diva’ in the ballroom. I just think it wasn’t embraced."

"I think that show requires a lot of compassion and loving kindness, especially as the host."

Brooke went on to empathize with fans who feel unhappy with the constant change. “Change is hard for everyone. They’ve gone through a lot on that show,” she explained.

"And you’re just not the star as the host. It’s just not about you. So yeah, I think Tyra is great in a shining role. I will just say that."

Well, I think that's definitely an insightful take. I will say Tyra has had many successful hosting gigs in the past, but maybe DWTS just wasn't the right fit all around!
