Jim Carrey makes a cameo in The Weeknd's new music video and it's giving creepy vibes!

Earlier this week the "Starboy" singer dropped released a music video for his song "Out of Time." To many of us, it came as a surprise to spot the Bruce Almighty actor in the video, much less, narrating it.

On April 5, The Weeknd gifted fans with a new music video for his song, "Out of Time."

The eerie visuals star a familiar face, but not one many were expecting to find in the "Save Your Tears" singer's video, fellow Canadian celeb, Jim Carrey.

If you didn't already know, The Weeknd and Jim Carrey are friends, and they share more in common than just being Canadian.

Back in 2021, the "Blinding Lights" singer opened up in an interview with GQ about how he and the Truman Show actor became friends through their shared love of telescopes.

He explained that leading up to his 30th birthday, he and Carrey had been in contact, texting.

“We’d been texting prior to that [30th birthday party]. And then, on my 30th birthday, [Carrey] surprised me,” he recalled. “He just pulled up to my crib and took me to breakfast."

He revealed that Carrey lived close by to him, just two buildings over.

“He lived literally like two buildings down from me. He had a telescope, and I had a telescope," he went on.

"He was like, 'Where do you live? What floor do you live on?' I was like, Blah, blah, blah. And we looked out the windows on our telescopes and we could see each other.”

He admitted that he was initially starstruck over their budding friendship. “That was like the beginning of my 30s. It was just like, What is going on?” he said.

I digress. Carrey voices the intro narration as the 32-year-old singer enters a hotel elevator with his acting love interest at the start of the music video.

I won't spoil it for you completely, but things do begin to take a dark, ominous turn after that.

Just one curveball after another.

In the subsequent scene, The Weeknd and his love interest, played by HoYeon Jung, a South Korean actress, are singing the lyrics together on a hotel ballroom karaoke machine.

Near the end of the song, Carrey's narration starts back up again — even creepier than before.

"You're almost there, but don't panic — there's still more music to come before you're completely engulfed in the blissful embrace of that little light you see in the distance," he says as a hand is shown grabbing his shoulder.

This segues into the next scene, where The Weeknd is waking up in a hospital bed — his hands looking like they've aged dramatically.

Carrey, shown looking at The Weeknd through a magnifying glass, proceeds to place a mask over his face — a reference to the mask from one of his most iconic films, "The Mask."

While I've always seen Jim Carrey as more of a comedy actor, his role in the video for "Out of Time" was absolutely chilling!
