Cameron Diaz has no regrets about stepping away from show biz to focus on her husband, Benji Madden, and their two-year-old daughter Raddix.
A representative of the 49-year-old recently revealed to Us Weekly that she is happy with her decision and seemingly doesn't plan on ending her hiatus anytime soon.
The Charlie's Angels star hasn't been in a film since the releases of Annie, Sex Tape, and The Other Woman — all of which came out in 2014.
Time flies, amirite?
While their family has kept an extremely low profile over the years, she recently opened up about her marriage while speaking as a guest on Michelle Visage's Rule Breakers podcast.
She added that her relationship with Madden is what taught her to be "all in."
"We know that, no matter what, we can just go and be just a family anywhere, and we're fine," she explained.
In a 2018 appearance on Hart to Hart, Diaz touched on her choice to become "semi-retired."
"And I couldn’t really manage, because everything was so massive," she continued.
She has no regrets about stepping away from her career and still finds lots of ways to keep busy. Cameron even launched her own wine company called Avaline.
He "had her back” and “agreed” with the actress’ decision to take a break from acting.
“[It was] something that was clearly vital for Cameron’s soul," they added. “It’s been a really fun journey doing something she loves and building up her brand."
Diaz is "so happy and grateful” to have the extra downtime, which often includes cooking, gardening, and redecorating.
To mark the occasion, Madden wrote a sweet tribute to his wife and family on Instagram.
"Today 7 years married. Always dreamed of having a family like this. Happy, peaceful, consistent, loyal and unconditional equally filled with passion and depth," he wrote.
"The only real challenge we have is making time go slower 'cause life goes by fast in the happy lane," he wrote.
While the actress wasn't sure if she would ever want to take on the role of a parent, it turned out to be a matter of waiting for the right time.
"It's just a different time in my life now," she said in an interview. "Now I'm here, and this is the most fulfilling thing that I've ever done in my life."
