Two years into the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the globe, Britain's monarch has recently tested positive for the virus, as was announced by her estate on Sunday.

The world is keeping its eyes on the situation, as this news comes after Queen Elizabeth has experienced a few other recent health concerns, making this news seem direr.

Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday that the Queen has tested positive for COVID-19.

They assure that's she's only experiencing mild, cold-like symptoms, and is well enough to continue light duties at Windsor during the week ahead.

She herself confirmed that she'd received a first vaccination dose.

She received that first dose in January of 2021, but it was never revealed if she also had any subsequent doses, with Buckingham Palace citing medical privacy regarding the matter.

This news comes after much worry and suspicion regarding Her Majesty's health.

Namely, since late last year, when one particular health scare had her withdrawing from public events to spend overnight in a hospital.

People already suspect Prince Charles to have given it to her.

The heir to the throne had to back out of an event just earlier this month as he contracted COVID-19 for a second time, and sources say he'd met with the Queen just days before.

This past Wednesday, she quipped that she 'couldn't move' much during a virtual meeting.

Her health is being closely monitored now.

And she's surely receiving the best care possible.

As the Palace's statement said, "She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all appropriate guidelines."
