It was just recently announced that the Fantastic Beasts sequel, The Crimes of Grindelwald, would be returning one year from now.

Although fans were excited about the movie's sequel, they were less than impressed by the fact that Johnny Depp would be returning to reprise his role as Gellert Grindelwald.

When Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them came out last year, Harry Potter fans everywhere pretty much lost their minds.

And I'll admit that even though I'm not the biggest Potterhead, I still adored this movie.

It was just announced that the sequel, now called Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, will hit theaters on November 16th, 2018.

The movie's Twitter account shared the first cast image from the movie, and fans were less than thrilled.

Among the cast of talented actors, fans were quick to notice that Johnny Depp had been asked to return for his role as the movie's villain, Gellert Grindelwald.

A lot of people found this to be problematic because of the accusations of domestic violence brought against him by his now ex-wife, Amber Heard.

As a result, people took to Twitter and started the hashtag #NotMyGrindelwald as a way to protest Johnny's presence in the film.

The general consensus from fans using the hashtag is that they're disappointed with the decision to move forward with casting Johnny.

Many were tweeting directly at J.K. Rowling to express their concern, and some threatened not to watch the movie at all because of him.

On the flip side, there are some Johnny Depp supporters who think that his private life should remain separate from his work.
