Ikea Recreated Iconic TV Living Rooms For Their Newest Ads

Just when you thought you couldn't love Ikea any more, our favorite DIY furniture brand has come along and released a new ad campaign that features our favorite living rooms from television.

The chain's locations in the United Arab Emirates created the ads and recreated the living rooms entirely from Ikea products. If you've ever wanted to turn your house into a TV set now is the time!

First, here's what you need to know about Ikea.

In the off chance that you haven't heard of Ikea before, it's a Swedish-based group that designs and sells furniture, kitchen appliances and other amazing home goods.

P.S., their closet systems are to die for!

Their prices are super low and assembly is almost always required.

Anyone who has ever bought something from Ikea knows all to well that there's a 99% chance you'll have some assembling to do at home.

But that's part of what makes it fun right?!

They've also do some pretty cool collaborations.

For the past five years, Ikea has partnered with designers and creative leaders for their IKEA Art Event.

This year they teamed up with designers such as the UK's Craig Green and Off-White designer Virgil Abloh.

Now Ikea is dipping their toes into the world of pop culture.

Their latest ad campaign is called "the Real Life series" and features three iconic TV living rooms only using items from their stores.

Ever wanted to take a trip to Springfield?

FOX

Not many families can pull of a living room with pink walls and green carpet, but The Simpsons sure can. They always had a unique sense of color and style when it came to their home.

Ikea managed to recreate this fun living room down to the crooked picture and striped carpet.

Is it just me or are pink walls going to come back in a big way after this ad campaign? I'm kind of warming up to this look, especially when it is so affordable.

Could you imagine if the Simpsons actually had Ikea furniture?

In addition to having a segment where the family takes a trip to Ikea and meets Allen-Wrench, they also have an Ikea couch gag.

Everyone knows The Simpsons always has a clever and creative intro that ends with the whole family sitting on that legendary couch.

This Ikea inspired one has, you guessed it, some assembly required.

What about Monica and Rachel's apartment from "Friends"?

IMDb

Those purple walls and vintage prints were the height of '90s home decor back in the day. I'm still wondering how they were able to afford that apartment as twenty-somethings, though.

Time to invite your own friends over to hang out.

I swear, they got every last detail. I wouldn't be surprised if Joey or Chandler walked into this photo and took a seat on the couch.

'Friends' would have been a lot different if Ikea were the furniture makers for the show.

For one thing, their furniture would have come in flat-packed boxes. I mean, the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Ikea and Friends is that hilarious "pivot!" scene with Ross and Rachel.

I am loving this ad campaign so far!

I know Friends has been off the air for years now but I still binge it regularly on Netflix. I am definitely feeling Ikea's take on it.

Now for something a little spookier.

Netflix

A contemporary classic, Stranger Things catapulted itself into pop culture thanks to one iconic scene that took place in the Byer's living room. That striped '80s chesterfield was about to become something of a legend.

If you're looking for a retro style, Ikea has you covered.

Floral armchairs aren't necessarily my thing, but even I would take a seat in this living room. As long as there are no demogorgons that is.

What do you think of these clever ads?

I can't get over how well they were able to recreate these rooms down to the last detail. As if I needed another reason to love Ikea, they went ahead and paid homage to some of my favorite shows.
