This Photo Of Emilia Clarke And Jason Momoa Is Driving Fans Wild

Sploosh! Do you feel that all around you? That the world of Game Of Thrones embracing you, pulling you in, sucking you into the depths of it's rich, meme-filled world. Ready yourself, dear reader, and take the plunge with me.

Spoilers!

Giphy

Call me Spoi-Boy McCoy, because I've got a hot steaming pile of spoilers ready to serve to anybody who hasn't seen the most recent episode of GoT.

Which, at time of writing, is Season 8, Episode 4: "The Last Of The Starks".

And... let's talk the new episode.

HBO

Like a 2016 Presidential election, this episode has divided a nation.

Half are blue wearing apologists who cry that the series hasn't been ruined, the other half are red wearing picky people who want everything to go right or they'll huff and they'll puff and they'll accuse the series of being racist.

Well, not exactly.

Screen Rant

I'm using a bit of hyperbole here for the sake of humor, but it was a divisive episode. We got to see Rhaegal and Missandei die, we got a Starbucks cameo and we're left with a promise of a big battle at King's Landing.

A battle where we might see one lover kill another.

HBO

Yes, it seems people think that Jaimie is going to kill his sister/lover Cersei.

Some think it may be out of spite, or revenge, or maybe it'll be at the request of Brienne but no matter what, they think that this couple will do each other in.

There have been a lot of good couples on "Game Of Thrones"

HBO

Great couples we've gotten to see stay together forever. Arya and Gendry... oh wait, nevermind.

Well, how about Grey Worm and Missandei... oh no, not that one either.

Okay, but how about Ned and Catelyn Stark... alright, I'm going to stop there.

Well, one of the fan's favorite couples was Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen.

Elite Daily

Sure, they had a rocky start, with the Khal treating her more like a mare than a wife, but eventually, they fell in love and his (kind of) death crushed us as much as it crushed her.

Since then, Daenerys has gone through some... different relationships.

HBO

She had a fling with Daario Naharis, but then ditched him to go rule and is now flinging with Jon Snow, who turns out is her nephew. I'd say gross, but apparently, incest isn't that big of a deal in the Game Of Thrones universe.

So yeah, we miss Khal Drogo.

However, we may not miss him for long! Emilia Clarke posted a picture of him and her on the set with Peter Dinklage, palling around, being cool. But why did she do this post?

Well, she's taking credit for the Starbucks fiasco

Reddit | GallowBoob

You remember that cup I briefly mentioned?

The mess up that you couldn't have missed if you were on the internet from May 5th, 2019-May 9th, 2019?

Well, in the post she says: "Did I just stumble upon the truth here?! The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea..."

Anyway, Emilia Clarke and Jason Mamoa are good friends...

And have been since they were Khal and Khaleesi on the show together. So it's very plausible he just stopped by to say hi to his old friend and ex onscreen lover.

But... could this post mean more???

HBO

Sure, she says that he's just coming around for a visit... but what if... he's going to make an appearance in Season 8?

Maybe he speaks with Daenerys or something?

Peter Dinklage was no help in deciphering this mystery.

Instagram | @emilia_clarke

He (or a fan account, rather) commented the fire and heart emoji like, four different times on the picture. People went nuts.

Even though Emilia was VERY specific in say thing that the photo wasn't a spoiler, fans didn't care.

Let's just let them believe that the photo means more than it does.

So... could the caption just be a cover-up?

HBO

Could Khal Drogo be gearing up for a guest spot in the final season? It would be a good send off for Daenerys if she meets her ex-husband in The Night Lands... just saying...

What do you think?

HBO

Do you think that Khal Drogo is going to make an appearance in Season 8? Maybe a dream sequence? Maybe a quick boink session between him and Daenerys to bring us back to a simpler time? Ah yes, that would be nice.
