Fans Think Ariana Grande's Grammy Dress Was A Tribute To Mac Miller

This past week, Ariana has dragged the Grammys and everything they stand for and I've been absolutely living for every second of it. Who needs stuffy award shows anyway, amirite?

If you're not up to speed, lemme run you through it real quick.

Ari, who was nominated for two Grammy awards, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, was noticeably snubbed from the Album of the Year category, despite the massive success of her album, "Sweetener."

Which is honestly so rude and disrespectful!

There is no denying Ari has had a train-wreck of a personal year.

But professionally, the bish slayed.

The death of ex boyfriend Mac Miller this past September was a devastating and untimely loss.

Though the they were broken up at the time of his death, the two had been friends since the beginning of Ari's solo career back in 2013 when they collaborated on Ari's first big hit, "The Way."

The couple dated for two years before calling it quits in May 2018.

In regards to the breakup, Ari's statement was positive, "Unconditional love is not selfish. It is wanting the best for that person even if at the moment, it's not you."

Things took a turn later on that month after Mac Miller's DUI.

Fans believed Ariana was to blame for Miller's mistakes and many took to Twitter to express their disappointment.

Ariana wasn't having any of it, and made that very clear with her reply.

"How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them."

She continued on to say the only song about her on his album was "Cinderella."

"I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be."

Regardless of her relationship with Pete Davidson, Ariana was not responsible for the tragedy that ensued.

Also a PSA I absolutely cannot talk about Pete and Ariana anymore, it's not physically possible for my body to produce anymore content regarding these two!!!!!!

While it's no secret Mac Miller struggled with substance abuse for a large portion of his adult life, it was never Ariana's job to save him.

And it's super unfair to judge a relationship between two people we don't know.

Regardless of the couple's split, fans turned to Ariana after Mac's passing.

She posted this tribute to him on her Instagram a week after his death.

While there is no denying the couple had their issues, it's clear the love they shared was strong.

Ariana has since continued to pay tribute to Miller in subtle ways on her social media and in her music.

While Ariana was not in attendance at Miller's tribute concert back in October, she gave her own tribute on her Instagram story.

She snapped a pic wearing his sweatshirt and cuddled with his dog on the night of the event, leaving everyone emotional.

Then came her ultimate banger "thank u, next" which gave a special shout out to Mac.

"Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm, cause he was an angel."

Fast forward to just last week, Ari released her new album.

Aptly titled "thank u, next" the track list was emotional.

The lyrics? Absolutely a vulnerable tell-all.

So when the Grammy's came around, Ari was eager to perform "7 rings" from her new album and celebrate all her accomplishments, 'cause DUH.

But her and the Grammy's had a major shade fest on Twitter that ultimately left Ari unwillingly to attend the show, despite her two nominations.

So what did our queen do on Grammy night? Put on her custom Zac Posen dress and did a photo-shoot AT HOME!!!!!!!

How gorgeous and iconic is this couture?!

The dress is stunning and she totally looks like a Disney princess!

Wait a minute...

ARI IS CINDERELLA :') WHY AM I CRYING INTO MY CLEAVAGE???

Also notice Mac Millers dog watching Ariana in awe.

Same boo boo, same.

Fans were quick to notice the comparisons in lyrics from Miller's song "Cinderella" and "ghostin" from Ari's new album.

Are y'all crying yet?

Now that I've seen the comparisons of our princess Ari and princess Cinderella, it's obvious.

Ariana had Mac on her mind the whole time.

This is how I want to spend the rest of my life, TBH.

Dripping in thousands of dollars worth of diamonds and custom couture while I lay on the kitchen floor, but also with nachos.

And not for nothing — our girl won Best Pop Vocal Album for "Sweetener" while she was chilling at home.

An award she more than deserves if you ask me.

Well I'm gonna go have a full body cry now, but to cheer you up here's Myron playing in Ari's dress.

Ugh we love them!!!!!!!!!
